What's Included
- Oil drain plug gaskets — fiber and aluminum sealing washers in multiple inside diameters and outside diameters
- Covers the most common drain plug sizes across domestic and import passenger vehicles and light trucks
- 153 pieces total
Specifications
| Gasket types | Fiber sealing washers, aluminum sealing washers |
| Application | Engine oil drain plug sealing — domestic and import vehicles |
| Total pieces | 153 |
| Supplier | Auveco |
Best For
- Oil change and lube shops — high-volume oil service operations go through drain plug gaskets on every vehicle; a stocked assortment eliminates interruptions when a gasket isn't in the parts room
- General automotive service shops — shops that perform oil changes alongside other services benefit from having a ready supply across all common drain plug sizes
- Fleet maintenance operations — mixed fleets with domestic and import vehicles require a variety of drain plug gasket sizes; this assortment reduces the number of individual SKUs to manage
Finding the Right Drain Plug Gasket
Oil drain plug gaskets are sized by the inside diameter (to fit over the plug threads) and outside diameter (to seat against the oil pan face). The gasket material matters too:
- Fiber gaskets — compressible and conforming; used where the drain plug and oil pan surfaces aren't perfectly flat. Common on older domestic vehicles and some import applications.
- Aluminum gaskets (crush washers) — used on many Japanese and European vehicles. The soft aluminum deforms slightly as the plug is torqued, creating a metal-to-metal seal. Aluminum crush washers should always be replaced — a used one that's already been compressed won't seal reliably a second time.
To find the right gasket, identify the drain plug thread size (stamped on the plug or found in a service manual) and match the inside diameter. If you're not sure whether your application uses a fiber or aluminum gasket, the OE service spec will specify. Questions? Contact us.
